Carrots are an overlooked vegetable by most kids and adults alike unless they are on a veggie tray covered in ranch dressing. Let’s jazz them up a bit and make them the hit of the party.
With this easy recipe, you’ll discover it doesn’t take a lot of ingredients or time to make a plain can of carrots into the tastiest dish on the menu. These carrots will have your family going back for seconds, so double the recipe if you need to so your entire family is happy – and full. Now that’s what I call a savvy, eye-opening vegetable!

Grilled Sweet Carrots
Cook time: 25 minutes
- 1 can (14 1/2 ounces) sliced carrots
- 3 heaping tablespoons brown sugar
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Heat grill to medium heat.
- Pour carrots and juice into small, disposable aluminum pan. Mix in brown sugar and season with salt and pepper, to taste. Top with butter.
- Grill carrots in pan 25 minutes.
- Serve in bowls with juices poured over top.
