- 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons fresh garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons anchovy filets, chopped
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

- 1 pound fresh mozzarella pearls

- Preheat oven to 425 F.

- 1 package slider rolls
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1/2 cup mini pepperoni
- 1 1/2 cups shredded, low-moisture, part-skim mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- nonstick cooking spray
- Heat oven to 350 F.
- Keeping rolls connected, cut sheet of rolls horizontally, separating tops from bottoms. Place bottom halves of rolls in baking dish.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly over bottom halves. Sprinkle pepperoni over sauce. Sprinkle mozzarella over pepperoni and cover with top halves of rolls.
- Mix melted butter with parsley flakes, dried oregano, garlic powder and shredded Parmesan cheese. Spoon evenly over sliders.
- Cover baking dish with aluminum foil sprayed with nonstick cooking spray to keep cheese from sticking.
- Bake 20 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake additional 5-10 minutes, or until Parmesan is melted and golden brown.
Cut sliders and serve immediately.

- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cups C&H Dark Brown Sugar
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans, toasted
- 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- In medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and cook until foaming and golden brown. Remove from heat and transfer to heatproof bowl. Place in refrigerator until solidified, about 45 minutes.
- In medium bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
- Once butter has solidified, remove from refrigerator. In bowl of electric stand mixer, using paddle attachment, beat butter and sugar at medium speed 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, and vanilla. Mix until combined. Scrape sides of bowl as needed. Reduce speed, add flour mixture and beat to combine. Add pecans and chocolate chips; mix at low speed until combined. Place dough in refrigerator and rest 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350 F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Using 2-ounce ice cream scoop, portion out dough on prepared baking sheets, spacing about 3 inches apart. Gently flatten dough balls using palm.
- Bake 13-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheets 10 minutes then transfer to wire rack. Serve warm.

- 1 white onion, diced
- 1 can green chiles, diced
- 3/4 can diced tomatoes with green chiles
- 1 block (16 ounces) cheese, cubed

- 4 ounces mozzarella cheese, finely shredded
- 1 jalapeno, diced
- 3/4 cup pepperoni, chopped
- 1 baguette
- butter
- Heat oven to 375 F.
- In skillet over medium heat, heat oil. Add onion and cook, stirring until softened, about 5 minutes. Add chiles and tomatoes; simmer.
- Reduce heat and stir in cubed cheese until smooth. Turn off heat; stir in cheddar and mozzarella until melted. Stir in jalapeno and half the pepperoni.
- Garnish with remaining pepperoni.
- Slice baguette into 1/2-inch slices. Place on baking sheet. Add butter to tops of slices. Toast in oven until tops are golden brown. Serve with dip.

- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup minced garlic
- 1 package King's Hawaiian Pretzel Slider Buns
- 3 cups vegetable oil
- 2 cups pepperoni, julienned
- 1 1/4 cups marinara sauce
- 9 breaded chicken tenders, cooked crispy
- 5 slices fresh mozzarella
- 5 slices provolone cheese
- 9 teaspoons grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped Italian parsley
- In small saucepot over medium heat, melt butter and add minced garlic. Cook 3-4 minutes until garlic softens but does not brown. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Separate pretzel slider buns and brush inside halves with melted garlic butter. Toast rolls on griddle until golden brown; flip and slightly toast outside of rolls. Set aside.
- In 4-quart saucepot with thermometer, heat oil to 350 F. Fry pepperoni until bubbles start to slow. Carefully remove from oil and place on plate with paper towel.
- In small saucepot, heat marinara sauce. Place 1 tablespoon sauce on bottom halves of slider buns.
- On lined sheet pan, place one chicken tender on each slider bun. Place 1 tablespoon marinara sauce on top of each tender followed by half slice mozzarella then half slice provolone. Top each slider with 1 teaspoon grated Parmesan. Place baking sheet in broiler and melt cheese.
- Top cheese with 1 tablespoon crispy pepperoni on each slider.
- Top sliders with other halves of toasted slider buns. Brush tops with garlic butter and sprinkle with chopped parsley. Use bamboo picks to secure.
Lobster Knuckle Sliders with Spicy Mayo

- 1 package King's Hawaiian Slider Buns
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tomato, finely diced
- 1 celery stalk, finely diced
- 1/2 cup Japanese mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon sriracha
- kosher salt, to taste
- freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 lemon, cut in half
- 1 package tempura flour mixture
- 1 teaspoon seafood seasoning
- 9 ounces cooked lobster knuckle meat
- 2 1/2 cups white cabbage, shredded fine
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 3 tablespoons chives, finely chopped
- Separate slider buns and brush inside halves with melted butter. Toast rolls on griddle until golden brown; flip and slightly toast outsides of rolls.
- In mixing bowl, combine diced tomatoes, celery, mayonnaise and sriracha. Season with salt and pepper, to taste; add juice and zest from 1/2 lemon. Mix well to fully incorporate. Place in refrigerator to chill.
- Mix tempura batter per package instructions and season with seafood seasoning.
- Preheat deep fryer to 350 F.
- Pat lobster dry with paper towels. Place lobster in tempura batter and allow to sit 30-60 seconds.
- Remove lobster one piece at a time, allowing excess batter to drip off. Working in batches, fry until golden brown, about 3 minutes.
- While lobster is frying, place cabbage in mixing bowl; add extra-virgin olive oil and juice from remaining 1/2 lemon. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Mix well to incorporate evenly.
- Place 2 tablespoons cabbage mixture on each bun, making bed on each bun to hold lobster in place.
- Remove lobster from fryer and allow excess oil to drain completely. Toss lobster in mayonnaise mixture and sprinkle with chopped chives. Place lobster on cabbage mixture then add top buns and secure with bamboo skewers.

Furikake Popcorn

Furikake Seasoning:
- 1 nori sheet, broken into pieces
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds, divided
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar
- 6 cups popped popcorn
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- To make furikake seasoning: In spice grinder or using mortar and pestle, grind nori with 1/2 tablespoon sesame seeds until finely ground. Transfer to small bowl; stir in remaining sesame seeds, salt and sugar.
- In large bowl, toss popcorn with butter and furikake seasoning until evenly coated.
- Tips: Use store-bought furikake seasoning and season to taste.
- To toast sesame seeds: In small dry skillet over medium heat, cook sesame seeds 2-3 minutes, or until lightly golden and fragrant. Let cool completely before using.
Jamaican Jerk Popcorn
Yield: 4-6 servings
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tablespoon minced, seeded scotch bonnet chili pepper
- 1 teaspoon grated lime zest
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 8 cups popped popcorn
- In small saucepan, combine butter, chili pepper, lime zest, chili powder, thyme, allspice, pepper, ginger, garlic powder, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, onion powder and salt. Cook over low heat 3-5 minutes, or until butter melts and mixture is fragrant.
- In large bowl, toss popcorn with spice mixture until evenly coated.
Tip: Omit scotch bonnet pepper and substitute 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper, if preferred.
Cheesy Pepperoni Pizza Popcorn
Yield: 6-8 servings (1 cup each)
- 1/4 cup nonfat Parmesan cheese
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil leaves
- 1/8 teaspoon dried sage
- black pepper, to taste
- 12 cups air-popped popcorn
- 3/4 cup turkey pepperoni, cut into bite-size bits
- olive oil cooking spray
- In small bowl, combine Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, marjoram, basil, sage and pepper; mix well.
- In large bowl, combine popcorn and turkey pepperoni; spray lightly with olive oil cooking spray.
- Sprinkle popcorn and pepperoni with cheese mixture; toss to coat evenly.
Rocky Road Popcorn Clusters
Yield: 3 dozen
- 1 bag (6 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 4 cups popped popcorn
- 1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
- In small microwave-safe bowl, heat chocolate chips in microwave on high 1 minute, until melted. Stir in vegetable oil.
- In large bowl, add popcorn, marshmallows and walnuts. Pour melted chocolate over mixture, tossing to coat.
- Drop mixture by tablespoonful onto wax paper-lined jellyroll pan.
- Refrigerate until firm, about 2 hours, or overnight.

Baked Tomato Goat Cheese Dip

- Nonstick cooking spray
- 2 cups RAGÚ Simply Traditional Sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, divided
- 1/ 4 cup fresh basil, chopped, divided
- 1/8-1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 log (10-10 1/2 ounces) goat cheese, softened at room temperature
- 2 teaspoons olive oil, plus additional for brushing, divided
- 1/4 teaspoon fresh thyme
- kosher salt, divided
- pepper
- 1 large baguette, sliced on bias
- blistered tomatoes, for serving (optional)
- Position one rack in upper third of oven and one in lower third. Preheat oven to 375 F. Spray small, round baking dish with nonstick cooking spray; set aside.
- Add sauce to small bowl. Grate in two garlic cloves then add 1/8 cup basil and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine then pour sauce into baking dish.
- Smash goat cheese log into ball. Place ball between two sheets plastic wrap. Using hands, flatten cheese into thick, round disc about 1 inch smaller in diameter than baking dish. Remove goat cheese from plastic wrap and place in center of sauce. Drizzle cheese with 2 teaspoons olive oil. Sprinkle with fresh thyme, kosher salt and pepper. Bake on lower rack, uncovered, 20-25 minutes, or until sauce is bubbly and cheese is warmed through.
- Place baguette slices on baking sheet. Drizzle or brush with olive oil and sprinkle with kosher salt. Bake crostini on upper rack 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through. When bread is done, remove from oven, cut last garlic clove in half and rub cut side on bread.
- Top dip with remaining basil and blistered tomatoes, if desired, and serve with crostini.
Note: To make blistered tomatoes: Heat skillet over medium-high heat until almost smoking. Add 1 pint cherry tomatoes to dry skillet and let sit 1 minute. Lower heat to low, toss tomatoes with 2 teaspoons olive oil and cook 2-3 minutes, or until tomatoes are about to burst. Remove from heat; sprinkle with pinch of salt and pepper.
Polenta Bites
- 1 tube (18 ounces) polenta
- 1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil
- 1 jar (24 ounces) RAGÚ Chunky Tomato, Garlic and Onion Sauce
- 1 package (8 ounces) shredded mozzarella
- 2 sprigs, rosemary, destemmed and chopped
- 3 basil leaves, chopped
- 1 block (8 ounces) hard Parmesan cheese
- Cut polenta into slices. In skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat; fry polenta slices 10-12 minutes on each side until crispy and golden brown.
- In saucepan over medium heat, warm sauce.
- Place polenta slices on tray and sprinkle with mozzarella. Place 1/2 teaspoon warm sauce on each slice then sprinkle with chopped rosemary and basil. Grate hard Parmesan onto each slice for topping.
Snowman Pizza Bombs
- 1 tube (11.8 ounces) pizza dough
- 1 jar (24 ounces) RAGÚ Old World Style Traditional Sauce
- 1 package (6 ounces) pepperoni slices
- 1 package (6 ounces) Canadian bacon slices
- 1 package (8 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 1 package (8 ounces) mozzarella cheese slices
Decorative vegetables (optional):
- multicolored sweet peppers

- Preheat oven to 400 F.
- Cut pizza dough into 12 squares. On each square, place 1/2 teaspoon sauce and evenly top with pepperoni, Canadian bacon and cheddar cheese.
- Pinch corners of dough together to round into balls then place in muffin tins.
- In small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic powder and Italian seasoning; brush generously over dough balls.
- Bake 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from muffin tin and carefully shape dough balls into circles; place on baking sheet. Cover with mozzarella slices and bake until melted.
- Create snowman faces by decorating each with peppers, olives, spinach, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes, if desired. Use remaining sauce for dipping.

Pepperoni Pizza Sliders
- 1 package slider rolls
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1/2 cup mini pepperoni
- 1 1/2 cups shredded, low-moisture, part-skim mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon parsley flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- nonstick cooking spray
- Heat oven 350º F.
- Keeping rolls connected, cut sheet of rolls horizontally, separating tops from bottoms. Place bottom halves of rolls in baking dish.
- Spread pizza sauce evenly over bottom halves. Sprinkle pepperoni over sauce. Sprinkle mozzarella over pepperoni and cover with top halves of rolls.
- Mix melted butter with parsley flakes, dried oregano, garlic powder, and shredded Parmesan cheese. Spoon evenly over sliders.
- Cover baking dish with aluminum foil sprayed with nonstick cooking spray to keep cheese from sticking.
- Bake 20 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake additional 5-10 minutes or until Parmesan is melted and golden brown.
- Cut sliders and serve immediately.

- 12 cups popped popcorn
- 1 package (11 ounces) white chocolate chips
- 2 teaspoons coconut oil
- 15 Oreo cookies, coarsely chopped
- Place popcorn in large bowl; set aside.
- In medium saucepan on low heat, melt chocolate chips and coconut oil; stir until blended.
- Pour melted chocolate over popcorn, stirring until well-coated. Stir in chopped Oreos.
- Spread mixture on baking sheet and chill until chocolate has set. Break into pieces to serve.

Popcorn Party Pizza
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 bag (10.5 ounces) mini marshmallows
- 2 quarts popped popcorn
- 1 tube (.68 ounces) red piping gel
- 1 package red raspberry fruit roll-ups

- candy-coated chocolate pieces
- Spray 12-inch pizza pan with cooking spray; set aside.
- In large saucepan over medium heat, heat butter.
- Stir in marshmallows until melted.
- Stir in popcorn until well coated.
- Spread mixture evenly onto prepared pizza pan.
- Drizzle red piping gel over “pizza” to make “sauce.”
- Cut small circles (about 1 1/4 inches in diameter) from fruit roll-up and place on pizza for “pepperoni” slices.

Popcorn and Peanut Truffles
- 6 cups popped popcorn
- 1 cup roasted and salted peanuts
- 1 package (12 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup honey
- In large bowl, stir popcorn and peanuts together; set aside.
- In microwave-safe bowl, heat chocolate chips 10 seconds. Stir chips and repeat, stirring after each 10 seconds, until chips are melted. Warm honey in microwave 10 seconds and stir into chocolate until well blended.
- Pour chocolate mixture over popcorn mixture and stir until popcorn is evenly coated. With small ice cream scoop, push popcorn mixture into scoop and release onto wax paper to form truffles. Refrigerate until firm.

However, with a little thought and planning, you can prevent taking your body on a roller coaster ride – without having to choose between food deprivation and satisfaction.
“Whether you are hosting an event or attending someone else’s celebration, planning ahead can help you stay on track,” said Mitzi Dulan, a registered dietitian and nationally recognized nutrition and wellness expert. “Having quick and simple strategies and recipes on hand makes it easy to eat well and keep you feeling great.”
Put a winning plan in place to take a new look at your approach to eating smart with these tips from Dulan, who is the team nutritionist for the World Series champion Kansas City Royals.
Don’t skip meals.
Although skipping breakfast may seem like a good way to cut calories, it’s a plan that can actually backfire, making you hungrier as the day wears on, and more likely to overeat or sneak unhealthy snacks. Start each day with a well-rounded breakfast to fuel your body. Apply a similar approach to events later in the day, as well. You may be tempted to skip a meal so you can enjoy the treats at a party, but chances are you’ll end up overdoing it with high-calorie indulgences, so make sure you fuel up ahead of time.
Love what you eat.
Be mindful of the food you eat and make every bite count. Enjoying each delicious taste will make it easier to stick to a sensible eating plan. - non-stick baking spray
- 2 Flatout Flatbreads
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/3 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/3 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 6 ounces grilled chicken breast, torn into pieces
- 1 tablespoon red onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon cilantro, chopped
- Heat oven to 400°F.
- Spray large baking sheet with non-stick baking spray. Place flatbreads on baking sheet. On each flatbread, evenly spread 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce.
- Sprinkle both cheeses over flatbreads. Mix remaining barbecue sauce with grilled chicken and place on pizzas. Top with diced onion. Bake 5 minutes. Sprinkle cilantro on top and serve.
Thin Crust Pepperoni Pizza
- 1 Flatout Flatbread Artisan Thin Pizza Crust
- 1/4 cup chunky red sauce
- 3 slices provolone cheese
- 1/4 cup mozzarella, shredded
- 30 pepperoni mini slices
- Heat oven or grill to 375°F.
- Place flatbread on cookie sheet. Bake 2 minutes. Remove from oven. Spread sauce on flatbread. Lay provolone on top of sauce. Top with mozzarella and pepperoni. Return to oven and bake 4 more minutes, or until cheese melts.

- 1/2 cup mushrooms, cooked
- 1/2 cup arugula
- 6 grape tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 1/2 teaspoons fat-free balsamic vinegar
- Heat grill or oven to 375°F.
- Pre-bake flatbread for 2 minutes. Remove.
- Warm mushrooms in microwave or pan. Top flatbread with arugula, tomatoes and mushrooms. Sprinkle with cheese and drizzle with balsamic vinegar. Cut into slices.
Thin Crust Egg, Sausage and Pepper Breakfast Pizza
- 1 Flatout Flatbread Artisan Thin Pizza Crust
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese
- 2 eggs, lightly scrambled
- 3 ounces sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 2 ounces yellow peppers, diced
- 2 ounces red peppers, diced
- Heat oven to 375 F.
- Place flatbread on cookie sheet. Bake for 2 minutes. Remove from oven. Top flatbread with cheese, scrambled egg, sausage and peppers. Return to oven and bake 4 more minutes, or until cheese melts.

- 1 package (8 ounces) fresh mozzarella, shredded
